The vision of The Urban Ministry Institute (TUMI) is rooted in 2 Timothy 2:15 - “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that need not to be ashamed, rightly
dividing the word of truth.”

TUMI is established on this essential conviction: God is raising up a new generation of Christ-centered servant leaders who are biblically equipped, spiritually vital, and technically competent to accomplish God’s task of discipling the Church in the cities of America and the world.  

We strive to learn, unlearn and relearn, in order to be more equipped to fulfill the great commission found in Matthew 28:19-20 - “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
